Archaeological zone of Chacchobén

On this excursion we will visit the incredible lagoon of the 7 colors and the archaeological zone of Chacchoben. Designed for those who seek to know a Mayan city and the Magic Town of Bacalar. Where we can walk, relax and enjoy the wonderful scenery that these small corners of the Mexican Caribbean leave us.

We will start early in the morning to head to the Gran Costa Maya, visit the archaeological site of Chacchoben, which was the most important settlement in the Lake District, whose occupation began in 300 AD. We will see the structures of different ranges among which stand out the groups called Gran Basamento, Las Vías and Grupo II. The character of the architectural groups corresponds fundamentally to the civic and religious. The visit to the ruins will be about an hour and a half.

Magical Town Of Bacalar

Continue the road to Bacalar, «7 colors lagoon» also known for a long history of events related to pirates who sailed the Caribbean seas. We will do a boat trip of approximately 2 hours where we will see the Black Cenote, Cenote Esmeralda, Cenote Cocalitos, Island of the birds, Travesía by the rapids, Canal of the pirates and the Fort of San Felipe.

To finish and already at the pier of the lagoon we will have time to relax, take a bath, and eat quietly in one of the restaurants located on the edge of it. At 15 hrs after enjoying the lagoon, we will return to your hotel and return to your hotel around 6:00 p.m.
